We had a mixup with the time for food at the Wallace House due to there being two different times on the BEO. After speaking to Mrs Engler and Thigpen all was well. Not much else to say for this one, it went as it usually does. Within the first minute of Marquitta and I stepping into the Summerhouse after the kids' arrival, a butterball was pelted at me from across the room. They were throwing drinks on the patio, throwing the balls from the putting greens, they also left dress shoe marks on 5 out of 7 of the tennis courts. We overheard a lot of disrespectful commentary as well. We couldn't keep most of them off of the tennis courts, away from the street/back side of tennis, etc and inside the Summerhouse/patio so we ended up calling Security (and Jake). This simmered them down a bit. The kids also would not let Tiffany and Dallah put food out or refill it, swarming to grab food with their hands instead of waiting literal seconds for utensils to go on the buffet. Going forward we should discuss options with this specific group.

We started the night with about 62 on the books, but little did we know we would have 62 people sat before 6pm... We handled the early rush about as well as we could have. Then the togos started coming in. The ladies locker room majhong ladies also came in with 12 people, but I'm sending a separate email about that. The event ran a little behind. They did not drink as much wine as they have in the past. There were a lot of request for specialty cordials. Next year we should add some cordials to the bar. There were also a lot of menu requests and special diets. Once again the kitchen stepped up and made it happen at the last minute.

I believe I made this note last year but as a reminder...we can totally scale down Summerhouse beverage stocking. Masters week 2025

Men's Grill
Kevin Sosnoski

Good week all around for the men's grill. We started to get guests and out of towners Friday. Weekend was a little light on golf surprisingly. We built the mg bar on the floor on Sunday. The floor bar really works well for heavy volumes. More space for more bartenders to work. Even if we had to constantly explain that to members. A rainy Monday was oddly not very busy. Tuesday and Wednesday were steady but never crazy. Thursday, Friday and Saturday took off. We had to block the sides of the bar to keep members from walking behind us to skip lines. For some reason, the patrons kept lining up single file. We cleared a large area for them but still one line formed. A had a handful of tables through week were sat in the mg. They were well taken care of. Sunday consisted of small camps of people watching the final day of tournament play.  Breakfast Buffet: As expected, mg members were not fans. Guests however enjoyed the spread. Grits were preferred over the home fries on the days they were switched out. We received moderate traffic for breakfast. Staffing: 2 servers in the Am with manager. Pm 2 servers and at least 1 bartender plus manager. We did get an extra bartender, Scott, later in the week. Bar: Perhaps a bit over stocked on some of the less needed items. By the last 2 days, it was apparent what was needed and what was just in the way. Coors light and ultra were very popular. Vodka and tequila were the main spirits of choice.  Levon and Daniel were key players in the successful execution of the week. They worked all day, every day. Zach did well in the evening and closed up at night. Maybe rotating a male server from TH for lunch through the week to give one of my main guys an option to come in later in the day. Though I know Levon and Daniel like working all day Masters week.
