Mayson + Arnett Rehearsal

Jack Montgomery Wallace House

Busy busy night for us at the Wallace House. Everyone arrived about 30 minutes early but sat for dinner almost 30 minutes late. They absolutely killed the buffet. We would have benefitted from having backup bowls/plates/etc. I think the stations were a bit silly and caused chaos for no reason. Staff stayed on the floor and made it work as always Once we finally got around to cutting cake (they did not do the picture until after speeches so we had to rush and get cake served at 8:15-8:30 before the post-toast started) we realized that it was genuinely only big enough for about 20 people.... Not really important but I am totally a wizard and did the craziest surgery on that cake to stretch it for about 45 pieces (your welcome) We offered Velvet Hammers to those who did not get cake before anyone else, but I don't think anyone really noticed or cared. All-in-all nothing really went on time for this group but I spoke with Mr. Mayson many times throughout the night and he was super super happy the whole time

This event took place in the Summerhouse. Not to much to say about this! We had girls in and out all night; eating, dancing, some leaving, some arriving at different times. All was well I made sure to check in with the mom several times throughout the event and she was nothing but appreciative :)

We were also joined by Mr. Pope who said the pork wings were absolutely delicious. The bar got pretty busy along with the restaurant due to the banquet upstairs. Busy busy night...we had a single bar as planned with 2 bartenders but unfortunately with the card machines the pace was much slower than it usually is. There was a line from about 6 to when they finally sat at 6:30. Jake and I released tables for the buffet in threes, which worked great for the volume. We had a couple rebels but all in all it was received well. They killed the buffet and the bar but we kept up as usual. We were constantly clearing and going around with water and coffee. The host expected everyone to stay over the written 8:30 end time but by 9 they cleared out \*\*They removed all AV and podium, however we pulled out the mic again for the pianist at the host's request

This event took place in the Lounge/Veranda/Loggia (lol). There was some back and forth with seating and the bar because of the cold but we eventually stuck with tables in the loggia and a bar outside on the veranda. The host was very happy with setup. Lunch went great, no issues. We did end up making the little boy an ice cream instead of creme brulee, and Stovall Walker's birthday dessert went out with no hiccups. They were very quick in-and-out

Governors Ball 2025. Breakfast was slow. Some of the regulars made their way in. Golf was slower as well with around 50 players. Closed the room down and got ready for the night. Levon started flipping the bar while Daniel and i flipped the room. We had 3 bartenders and a bar back, 2 passers and 2 clearers for the room. The night started slow but eventually picked up. The piano players were a big hit. Very talented. The room was popular due to extra seating to eat. One change would be taking out an extra table or two as it was very hard to navigate the room to clean plates and glasses. Member response to the night was very favorable. Everyone on the team did a great job. KRS

Belle Meade Hunt Ball

Banquet

Very slow start to Belle Meade this year. At about 6:45 we were still missing maybe 50 guests. The hostess claimed there was traffic backed up at the gate and valet out onto the main road (not true). Many people came in and immediately sat in the ballroom instead of cocktailing; since we preset the salads at 6:30, the majority of them were already eating. Around 7:15 we got everyone else officially sat and started on dinner. In retrospect we should not have preset anything. Kids were sitting where they weren't supposed to, so there were salads in front of them. We ended up going back for a lot of salads. The gluten-frees also got dropped unbeknownst to Marquitta or I so we had to ask for remakes of those as well. Lots of people/kids trying to mix up their adult/kids meals. (Asking for what they did not have according to our sheet as per usual) Moral of the story...highly advise against going this route next year unless they're all eating the same thing or children are all sat together at the same tables. Once we got everything situated with salads and the kids meals all went well. Allergies went where they were supposed to and we wrapped up service in a pretty timely manner. Maybe next year they could also go back to having seating in the loggia. We were kind of unnecessarily slowed down by how tight the tables were; literally backs of chairs touching each other). All in all we got it done well and everyone left very happy! \*\*\*I know this happens almost every year but it was nearly impossible to even set up for this event because of all the changes constantly happening. The host and another lady came in and changed half of the setup Thursday. Then earlier this morning we had at least 5 more significant changes.

Super Bowl Sunday Tournament. With just over 100 players, we did 49 for breakfast. There were 4 of us working on the floor and behind the bar taking orders. A shotgun start around 9:30 cleared the room. Lunch was very slow. The players returned by 2:30. The room filled and drinks were had. Only a few late lunch orders. After the winners were announced, most left. A larger card game launched and about 12 people stayed behind. We had 5 people working the event and it worked well. No issues. KRS
