As far as service goes with this, staff did great with the circumstances provided. They were almost 10 people over on the count after we had adjusted the room from 85 to 45 as soon as we got in this morning. We inevitably had to add extra seats, making some of the 5ft rounds 10 and 11 tops. Because of this we ended up using both the fish and chicken for the extra guests, and Jake and Khoris were able to secure some sorbets just in case they wanted dessert (since we were short) Everyone left happy!

A very busy breakfast this morning. We had about 70 to 80 members join us. Charles and Rebecca Dolan sat in the bar in front of the fireplace. Mrs Cagle also sat in the bar and enjoyed a quick breakfast. Angela and Kyli were my two breakfast servers and they both did a great job.

Caison Oyster Roast

Banquet

Jack Montgomery President's Room

This event was held in the Lounge/Veranda/Loggia. Everything was set and 100% ready to go before even the early-comers and hosts arrived. One thing that's been helping us for cocktail parties of this size is having a few wrapped tray jacks and trays placed around the room. Near the beginning of the event, Marquitta, Stephen and I spoke with Kate Bailey to check in and she mentioned the hostess wanted mini hot dogs as well; "like how they had at Gov Ball". Chris and the kitchen team halved all the hot dogs afterwards. The oysters went fast once everyone was comfortable to start going through the buffet. Since they only ordered 100 we removed the table as a whole once the oysters were gone. The toast went off well and the party seemed to simmer down greatly afterwards. Everything went well as a whole! Staff killed it staying on the floor clearing and checking in on the bars.

Steady lunch today! The patio was a hit today due to the wonderful weather. We had Gen. Smith join us for lunch, Mr. Reynolds, and Mr. Strozier join us for lunch and they said everything was amazing. We were also able to move the fridges from the summerhouse to the wallace house for masters prep. Great day today with no issues to report.

The crowd started to roll in around 6:45 and had a cocktail hour. The coordinator for the event (not Dr. Henson) questioned the 2 spicy shrimp and 2 pimento cheese apps, claiming to have asked for 4 of each plus 4 brussels sprouts app that we don't have. I got her settled on okra apps, and she was fine with that. They sat for dinner around 7:30. We got salads up and dropped shortly after. I figured out prior to them sitting who the vegetarian was, but as we were dropping everyone else's food, one lady turned the pecan chicken away as she is gluten free. We went downstairs and started working on a gnocchi on the fly for her. We offered strawberry ice cream for dessert. 14 got the icecream and 2 got velvet hammers. Everyone seemed happy and to have enjoyed themselves.

Pretty steady night! The beginning of the shift filled the patio up most tables wanted to sit in the nice weather we had today! From there we had lots of families come in and join us! So another successful 2-4-1 night! Lots of compliments of service, we may have a little backed up but it didn’t show we were able to push through the rush successfully! Great teamwork between the kitchen and front of house staff getting food out, bartenders kept busy throughout the night but with the help of myself and Joe we got caught up and restocked to keep the flow going!

Very busy Thursday lunch. We were joined by Miss Prather and miss Vineyard with the tennis group. They sat on the patio and complemented the adobo quesadilla. Dexter Kennedy also joined us. Mrs. Mooney sat at 61. Lynn Smith and group dined on the patio and enjoyed salad bars. Miss Kitty Ward's group from the ladies lounge sat on the terrace and enjoyed lunch together. We only had two servers and two DRAs. Both Jackie and Angela did an amazing job on the floor today. Keeping up with the crowd as well as helping the DRAs by pre-busting. Great job scheduling two strong servers and two strong DRAs on a much busier day. It was beautiful outside and most everyone dined on the patio.

Hump day tournament. 72 players. Steady start to lunch. Had regulars mixed with a few golfers. Onlybabfew golfers ate as they had lunch at the HWH. Easy time getting the players beers and drinks before their shotgun start. Lunch stayed steady with no issues. We had the hump day food table set and ready before lunch was over. The mid day went by easily. Eventually the heavy rain hit and the horn blew. 25-30 players came to the MG. Some food was put out early for them. 45 minute delay and most went back out to finish. 17 players dropped out at that time. When play was over l, the room filled with golfers, card players and the regular hang out guys. Everyone enjoyed the food. Some togo orders were placed and the room dwindled to 6 card players. All went well. Team did great. No issues. KRS

Slow Tuesday night. We were joined by the klacsmann family who dined on the Terrace, they were taken care of by Brandon. They had a great time celebrating a reunion and enjoyed several desserts with a wonderful compliment on the halibut. Mr. And Ms. Ruben sat in front of the fireplace while Mr Overstreets group enjoyed apps, dinner and dessert. Frank Gibbs and family sat at table 60. Kimberly Lewis and group enjoyed the halibut and daily bowl. The halibut was very popular tonight. We sold five of those, six daily bowls and two of the ribeye. All the servers did a wonderful job prebussing their tables. Ive been trying to express how important that is for the member experience. The DRAs were able to clear everything from each table in one trip, with one tray or less. Let's keep it up. The DRAs also collected all the pepper and salt shakers to be cleaned and refilled in the morning.
