The Report
today was a busy eventful shift. there were tables on all sides of the restaurant today. some with large tables and a 8 top in Founders room. with having to be back and forth servers did a fair job of staying on top of their tables needs. Management did step in to take food and drink orders. The Goldbergs stopped in and said they enjoyed their meal. Dr. Henson and a guest were in for a quick lunch and ordered the new menu item; the herb chicken Focaccia sandwich special. he was amazed at how big it was. a few members inquired about it as well because it was noticeable from table to table. we sold 5 today with all good reviews. Warren Daniel treated 7 guests to lunch today on the terrace. The patio was a popular spot because of the weather for drinking.
Jessica took care of GA power in Founders. they loved the daily bowl.
Issues
there were quite a few mishaps and issues today. quite a few tables had to send their meals back to the kitchen to be remade and a few items were comped. this played a part in delay of service for the tables affected.
-there was a miscommunication with mrs. wills Bloody Mary order . it was remade with no alcohol. at the same table, Ms. Tucker was charged for a full chop chop salad instead of half. Ashleigh fixed this mistake. Brandon was pulled aside after service and counseled by myself and Ashleigh. He took full accountability for his part in the poor service said members stated they received.
-Mrs. Deal ordered a steak salad Med Well temp and no Bleu cheese crumble. her steak was made with BC crumbles and her meat was very well pink inside that was noticeable. her meal was comped and we apologized and offered her something else. she had a bowl of soup. At the same table, Mrs. Turnage order came out with dressing on her salad and it was kitchen commented Dress on side.
-Mrs. Sassnett ordered a Caesar salmon blackened no dressing and it came out the opposite. it was remade
-Mrs. Lamar sent her turkey pineapple sandwich back. she said " the bread was very hard even to bite into, and the turkey was very dry and over cooked." we comped her meal as well and she had a cup of soup and fries.
Improvements
ensure kitchen comments are detailed and line cooks access each comment. have servers check with kitchen if an order is complex. Ensure Expo and Food runner verify that kitchen comments match food orders before leaving the kitchen.
remind servers to re read each check before dropping tickets. and to ask management for help if needed
