Rick Romeus 72 covers Sunny
The Report
A busy night for a Wednesday at Bon Air, with a total of 72 covers. While the team managed the pace well at the start of service, ongoing issues with members movement between tables and inconsistent ordering practices led to significant service challenges as the night progressed. The primary issue came from members, both adults and children, moving between tables without informing the host stand or their server. Parties that were originally assigned to separate tables combined or relocated, while new guests were seated at the original tables. This created a disconnect between our seating system and the actual layout of members in the summerhouse and patio, making it difficult for our servers and food runners to accurately identify where orders belonged. As members continued to circulate, staff were often delivering food to tables where no one from that party was present, which disrupted service flow and created confusion. This problem was further compounded when members ordered outside of their assigned server. In one notable situation at Table 24, an original family was seated, but the parents later moved to join another group while several children remained and were joined by others. These children placed dessert orders individually at the counter at different times and requested that the items be delivered to Table 24. Because these orders were not placed through a single server and the table remained under the original family’s name, there was no reliable way to track which items belonged to which members / their children. Desserts were prepared and delivered to Table 24 as requested; however, when the items arrived, several of the children who had ordered them were not present. As a result, desserts were taken by others at the table. Shortly after, multiple children approached the counter stating that they had not received their orders, despite those items already being delivered. This led to further confusion and ultimately resulted in frustration from parents who believed their children had been overlooked, even my staff had fulfilled the orders as instructed. situations like this, give us a bad look, when the sole reasoning is the members and their lack of decency to sit down at a table they chose. I understand getting up and mingling with your friends, especially with the kids, and I understand we are a very chill and laid-back service restaurant, but it made everything become a shit show when it didn’t need to be. Very slow morning/afternoon at Titleholders with a total of 38 covers. There was only 2/3 tables during breakfast and then our main priority was the birthday lunch for Catherine Boyd's daughter in Founders. Kiara was their server and the girls mostly got chicken wraps and junior burgers, and they loved everything and had no complaints. Other than that, nothing eventful happened. No issues to report!

Pretty slow lunch down at Titleholders today. With a total of 45 covers, it was pretty slow post jambo as well as the muggy weather this afternoon. The sun came out and got a little warmer, so there was mainly people sitting on the patio. The Antipasto Chicken Sandwich was pretty popular today along with the salad bar. Big thanks to Robby for serving today. No issues or problems to report.

Pretty slow for a Sunday! Even with the overcast start to the day, the patio was pretty popular. We did have a big misstep today. The Revells and their children came in for lunch. All 3 children ordered grilled cheeses, but the two older children have Celiacs, so they asked for their grilled cheeses to be on gluten free bread. The seat numbers were correct, and the ticket said which seats got the gluten free bread. The food runner gave the youngest boy the gluten free grilled cheese and the middle daughter the regular one. The girl ate half the sandwich before Shawn saw that the grilled cheese she had was on regular bread. He immediately had the grilled cheeses remade, but the Revells were, rightfully so, upset. I comped their whole check, and we attempted to offer desert, but they were ready to go. I had a talk with the food runners and told them to always double and triple check what they are putting down ESPECIALLY when there is an allergy. No other issues to report.
