Jack Montgomery 315 covers Ball Room
The Report
Great evening for the Westminster parents and family. We assisted with a few setup needs for a while, and everything including the buffet, was set by arrival time. The bar lines were LONG...except for the Prefunction bar. We were definitely strapped for people tonight but everyone worked super hard and made it happen. The food line got very long as well but we did a little crowd control (nudging people along, etc). We also had a teachable moment about remembering to pass with napkins and such...
No big issues, everyone seemed to leave very happy. Staff did amazing with the volume

Augusta Newcomers
Augusta Newcomers today in the Ballroom went as it usually does. All of the gluten free meals went out as planned; the kitchen ended up making 6 of those as opposed to 4. We also had to have extra vegetarian meals made...9 all day instead of 7. The coffee station took a lot of heat off the staff and they were able to focus on service.
Not exactly our problem but some of the guests were very passionate about how hungry they were...everyone arrived at 8:30 but lunch was scheduled for 12:00 and the hosts kept it at 12:00. I suppose they just need to communicate with their people more clearly.

Social- Dancing
Another Social down. Service went really well, but we had an ongoing issue with the temperature in the ballroom. Mr. Mcleod asked several times if it could be colder...we turned every thermostat down and opened all the doors including all of the patios; he was upset, especially near the end of entrees, but we did literally everything we could. No other issues though, staff did really well with service.

Garden Clubs (Azalea, Bulbs+Borders)
Everything went well, on time, and quickly for both groups today.
Azalea had their first lunch on the veranda of the season, which they loved. They only had 30 ladies eating even though we were asked to add an extra seat for 34.
Bulbs and Borders went off without a hitch as well, with 31 on the dot. Thankfully Claude and I convinced the speaker to just use the TV that was already set up in the Wallace House instead of a screen and projector, which saved everyone a ton of time as always.
No issues with either party, everything was great.
